The Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan welcomes the remarks of the President of Tajikistan

The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan thanked the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, for his remarks on the situation in Afghanistan. A statement from the Government of Afghanistan, which was published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country on July 25, 2021, reads:

"The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in his speech to the soldiers of the country expressed his hope for the restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan. He added that in the past, despite fierce fighting on Afghan territory, Afghan leaders had mediated for peace in Tajikistan, which had resulted in comprehensive progress in the Tajik's negotiation process.

The Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is grateful for the goodwill and continued support of Tajikistan, a friendly and brotherly country, and reiterates the importance of strengthening a regional consensus to combat terrorism and violent extremism, which is a common threat to the region and the world."
