Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office

On October 1, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, in the framework of the General Debates of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, met with the UN Under-Secretary General, Head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov.

During the meeting, the current issues of global agenda, including counter-terrorism and extremism, as well as the situation in the region, particularly the latest developments in Afghanistan were discussed.

Moreover, the sides agreed to continue the cooperation within the “Dushanbe Process on Counter-Terrorism and its Financing”.
