On 26 May 2021, the first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was held in the format of a videoconference.
The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Muzaffar Muhammadi and the Head of the Asia and Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan Dr. Malik al-Tawal.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects for development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Jordan in political, economic, trade, investment, energy, tourism, agriculture, industry, air communication areas, as well as strengthening the legal basis, cooperation of the two countries in the framework of international and regional organizations and other issues of mutual interest.
