On 14-15 September 2023 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, together with the 5th Anniversary Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia, the next meeting of the Council of the Heads of the IFAS Founding States will be held.
This was proposed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the President of IFAS, H.E. Mr Emomali Rahmon, as part of the Fourth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held on 21 July 2022 in Cholpon-Ata, the Kyrgyz Republic, and supported by the Heads of State of the region.
In order to organize and conduct the above-mentioned events at a High-level, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan approved the “Action Plan for the preparation and holding of the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia and the next meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founding States of IFAS”.
It is expected that within the framework of this meeting, the issues of the activities of IFAS for 30 years of its existence, including the process of improving its institutional structure and regulatory framework, as well as a wide range of issues of cooperation to further improve the water management, ecological and socio-economic situation in the Aral Sea basin.
