End of the official visit to the State of Kuwait

From November 3 to 5, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, was in the city of Al-Kuwait of the State of Kuwait on an official visit and with the purpose of participating in the International Conference “Strengthening International Counter – Terrorism Cooperation and Building Agile Border Security Mechanisms – The Kuwaiti Phase of the Dushanbe Process”.

During the visit, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon held useful and constructive meetings with the top leadership of this friendly country, including the Emir of Kuwait and the Crown Prince.

According to the results of the high-level talks and negotiations between Tajikistan and Kuwait, 9 new documents were signed that adjust relations in foreign policy, labor regulation in the private sector, cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, standardization, physical training, sports and tourism.

The visit of the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to Kuwait was productive in that the Leader of the Nation also took part and spoke at the International Conference of the Kuwaiti Phase of "Dushanbe Process".

Speaking at the conference, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized Tajikistan's support for the adoption of the Convention on Combating International Terrorism.

Also, the President called the promotion of lasting peace and stability and peaceful life throughout the world as one of the main goals of our state's foreign policy, and reminded about his proposal made at the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations to adopt a special resolution on declaring "Decade of Strengthening Peace for Future Generations".

On November 4, on the sidelines of this trip, other events were also held, such as the Tajikistan-Kuwait industrial, investment and economic Forum, the exhibition of industrial goods and tourism opportunities of Tajikistan, and the presentation of the Arabic translation of the book "Tajiks" by Academician Bobojon Ghafurov.

From the first moments of entering the State of Kuwait, the sincere welcome of the top management and the people of the friendly country was clearly felt. The streets of the city were festively decorated with the flags of both countries.

Similar to the welcoming ceremony, the ceremony of seeing off the Head of Tajik State was also held at Al-Kuwait International Airport with great splendor.
