Information session of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the Second Dushanbe Water Decade Conference and the UN 2023 Water Conference

On April 7, 2022 the information session of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" entitled “Catalyzing water action and partnership at the local, national, regional and global levels” (Dushanbe, June 6-9, 2022) and the United Nations Conference on the Midterm Comprehensive Review of the Implementation of the Objectives of the International Decade for Action, “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018–2028 (New York, March 22-24, 2023) was held in Geneva with the participation of heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations.
Initiated by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva and the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United Nations, the session was organized with the support of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), United Nations Economic and Social Department (UNDESA) and the UN-Water. Permanent Representative of the RT Jamshed Khomidov and Head of the Secretariat of the Conference, Sulton Rahimzoda speeches and presentation at the event.
J. Homidov in his statement has stressed the need for cooperation in promoting water issues in the World Development Agenda and provided information on the Second Dushanbe Water Conference to raise awareness of the important global preparatory event for the UN Water Conference-2023.
