Relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Palestine
On March 6, 1992, diplomatic relations were established between the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Palestine.
On October 3, 1995, the first Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tajikistan, Nabil al-Lahhom (with residence in Tashkenet), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. On March 5, 2014, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mohammad Tarshahoni (with residence in Tashkent), was appointed.
From 2020 to the present, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tajikistan is Luay Isa.
On April 9, 2020, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rajabiyon Mahmadali Davlatsho was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Palestine with residence in Turkey.
To date, three rounds of political consultations have been held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Palestine (March 29, 2017, April 23-24, 2018, August 29, 2023).On July 26, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, Riyaz Al-Maliki, during his visit to Tajikistan, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and on July 27, was received by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Qohir Rasulzoda. The parties discussed issues of political relations, economic and trade cooperation, investments, cooperation in the fields of energy, culture, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, as well as cooperation within international and regional organizations.
On August 12, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, received the Palestinian delegation led by the Director General of the International Cooperation Agency of the State of Palestine, Imod Zuhairi.
On August 29, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrant Affairs of the State of Palestine, Riyaz Al-Maliki, visited the Republic of Tajikistan with an official visit. On the same day, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigrant Affairs of the State of Palestine, Riyaz Al-Maliki.
Then the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrant Affairs of the State of Palestine, as well as the third round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries at the ministerial level were held. During the visit, three new documents on cooperation between the two countries were signed and the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Republic of Tajikistan was officially opened with the participation of the foreign ministers of both countries and the diplomatic corps accredited to the Dushanbe.
