Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross

On September 20, 2022, on the sidelines of the High Level Week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mr. Peter Maurer.

During the meeting, the issues of expanding bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the ICRC, implemented projects in the country, security and stability in the region, the current situation in Afghanistan and the need to provide humanitarian aid to this country were discussed.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to Peter Maurer for strengthening bilateral relations between ICRC and Tajikistan during his tenure as a President of ICRC and wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
