Meeting of the Minister with the Foreign Minister of Venezuela

On September 23, 2022 on the margins of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Mr. Carlos Faria.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current state and prospects for development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Venezuela, and other issues of mutual interest.

After the meeting, an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed.

According to the signed agreement the nationals of one Party, holders of valid diplomatic and service passports shall be exempt to require a visa for entry, exit and transit in the territory of the other Party for a period that not exceeds of 90 (ninety) days as from the date of entrance in the country.

This Agreement shall enter into force 30 (thirty) days after the reception of the last written notice whereby the Parties notify each other, through diplomatic channels, the fulfillment of their respective internal proceedings required to that purpose.
