The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Nikola Selakovic.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a set of issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Serbia in various fields, including in the field of security, economic, social, humanitarian, medical and climate spheres, and stressed the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
According to the signed the national of either Party holding diplomatic and official/service passport, shall be exempt from the visa requirement to enter, exit, transit through and stay in the territory of the State of the other Party for a period not exceeding 90 (ninety) days within the 180 (one hundred eighty) - days period from the date of first entry.
The present Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period of time and shall come into force 30 (thirty) days from the date of the receipt of the final written notice, through diplomatic channels, that all the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the present Agreement have been completed.
