Telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the conversation, the preliminary results of the presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed.

The Head of our state congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokaev on his re-election to the highest office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and wished him great success in his state activities for the sake of stable development and prosperity of friendly Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects of friendly relations and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, and emphasized the dynamic development and deepening of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. In this context, the mutual commitment to the continuation of joint actions for the further strengthening of the entire set of relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in accordance with the vital interests of the two brotherly peoples was emphasized. It was agreed that the parties will jointly take steps to prepare for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, which falls on the beginning of January next year.

The presidents also exchanged views on some important international and regional issues.

At the end of the conversation, the President of Kazakhstan invited the President of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon to pay an official return visit to Kazakhstan at his convenience. The Leader of the Nation, in his turn, invited Honorable Kassym-Jomart Tokaev to visit Tajikistan. Visit periods will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels.

The Leader of the Nation has sent a congratulatory telegram to Honorable Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in connection with the victory in the presidential elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
