Meeting of the Ambassador with the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan

On 8 February 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan Ilhom Abdurahmon met with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current level and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the energy sector, in particular, the investment of Azerbaijani companies in the implementation of priority projects in the energy sector, such as the construction of modern hydroelectric power plants and solar power plants, ways of transporting and refining crude oil in Tajikistan, as well as attracting the attention of influential Azerbaijani companies in the discovery of oil and gas deposits in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.
