Celebration of Diplomatic Service Day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On October 1, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of its leadership and staff held a celebratory event on the occasion of the Diplomatic Service Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the foyer of the Ministry, the historical achievements of Tajik diplomacy over 33 years of State Independence were presented to the participants of the event. Then a solemn meeting dedicated to the Diplomatic Service Day of the Republic of Tajikistan commenced.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin in his congratulatory speech emphasized that it was on the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, that the issues of improving access of the world's population to drinking water, ensuring the efficient use of water resources, their integrated management and other issues related to water and climate were included in the new agenda of global development, which is considered an important achievement and joint effort of the international community over the past few years.

“Tajik diplomacy has strengthened its position over the past three decades and has become an important support of the country in implementing strategic programs and strengthening its sovereignty, promoting state policy representing the global initiatives of the Leader of the Nation in ensuring peace and stability, and other issues of global importance” - S. Muhriddin said in his speech.

The event was also attended by Azamsho Sharifi the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Foreign Policy Issues, who delivered a congratulatory speech.

Furthermore, a number of Ministry employees were awarded with certificates of honor, letters of appreciation and the medals of the Ministry.

Within the framework of the event, an oath-taking ceremony was held for young employees accepted into the civil service.
