Participation of the Minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS meeting

On April 17, 2026, the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States held the meeting in Moscow.

A delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the meeting under the leadership of Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

The heads of the foreign ministries exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda and discussed prospects for cooperation within the CIS.

Particular attention was given to regional security, expanding economic cooperation, and deepening humanitarian and cultural ties within the CIS.

In the context of strengthening humanitarian cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan has proposed intensifying the production and widespread distribution of films highlighting the shared contribution and heroism of the peoples of the Commonwealth to victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Following the meeting, a number of decisions were adopted aimed at consistently developing and strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the CIS member states.
