Working visit of Ambassador of Tajikistan to the University of Cambridge

On May 10, 2019, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to UK Mr. Masud Khalifazoda visited the University of Cambridge.

Ambassador of Tajikistan by the invitation of Dr. Siddharth S Saxena, Director of the Cambridge Central Asia Forum visited the Cavendish Laboratory, where he looked into the arrangements and work opportunities of the laboratory. 
At the Centre of Development Studies, the Ambassador of Tajikistan had meetings with the PhDs and students whose scientific works are focused on the Central Asian region. In this context, the Ambassador provided to the participants a detail information about the opportunities in the Republic of Tajikistan.

In addition, the Ambassador of Tajikistan held meetings with the Professor Lord Robert Mair, Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Dr Christine van-Ruymbeke, Head of Persian Department at the University of Cambridge.

During the meeting the parties focused on the issues of bilateral cooperation in science, technology and innovation, increasing exchange of students and scientists between the University of Cambridge and the scientific and educational institutions of the Tajikistan, as well as conducting a scientific research.
