Meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan with the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On May 24, 2019 Ambassador of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin met with the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar.

Bilateral and multilateral relations and the ways of addressing existing issues became the main subjects of the meeting. During the discussion Federal Minister underlined the process of realization the project CASA-1000, development of the transport communication between two countries and cooperation in other spheres.

Tajikistan Ambassador especially mentioned the importance of the CASA-1000 project for the countries of the region and expressed hope that Pakistani side will take necessary steps for the timely implementation of the project.

During the meeting the issue of scheduled Joint Intergovernmental Commission and meetings of the Joint Working Groups on different sectors also was discussed.

Ambassador informed the Federal Minister about the political events to be held in Tajikistan during this year and focused attention of its interlocutor on importance of the forthcoming Summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA)
