Working visit of Tajikistan Ambassador to Aomori city

On May 22-24, 2019, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Mr. Jalolov Mirzosharif undertook a working visit to Aomori city, during which he met with Mayor of the city and other officials in Aomori city.

It is important to note that during official visit of Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon to Japan (5 October 2018), between the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and the Aomori city of Japan was signed Memorandum of Understanding on the pre-Games training for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

In this respect, on May 22, 2019, in a meeting with the Mayor of Aomori Mr. Akihiko Onodera the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation within the «Host Town» initiative, pre-Games training of Tajik athletes in August of this year in Aomori and other issues of common concern.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador gave a brief interview to representatives of local media.
In the framework of the visit Ambassador of Tajikistan also had meetings with the Chairman of the AOMORI Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Aomori Public University authorities.
