On June 25, 2019 Tajik Ambassador Sulton Rahimzoda presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind.
After presenting ceremony, a meeting between the Ambassador and the President of India took place. During the meeting, issues of development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and India in various fields were discussed.
The President of the Republic of India Sri Ram Nath Kovind, stressing the importance of cooperation with Tajikistan, noted his state visit to Tajikistan and expressed sincere appreciation to the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon for the warm reception and development of bilateral cooperation. In this context, he also noted the significant role of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in combating terrorism and extremism at the national and regional levels, emphsized the important role of the 5th CICA Summit that successfully held in Dushanbe.
In conclusion, the Ambassador assured the President that he will make all efforts towards further development and enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
