Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with the US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs

On December 9, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin, on the sidelines of the 8th Ministerial Conference “Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process” themed “Peace, Partnership, Prosperity” met with the US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Ambassador Alice Wells.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the forthcoming annual bilateral consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the fight against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking, strengthening borders, as well as cooperation within regional platforms.
