Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy

On December 11, 2019 in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the new European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.

During the meeting the sides discussed the current state and prospects of development of multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and the European Union. Satisfaction was expressed with the dynamically developing relations between Tajikistan and the EU through various mechanisms of bilateral and regional cooperation. The parties held exchange of views on key aspects of the partnership between Tajikistan and the EU, in particular in the political, social, trade and economic fields, and in spheres of security and regional cooperation. The sides also discussed issues of the international agenda, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
