Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia

On 16 December 2019 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Muzaffar Huseynzoda in the framework of the work visit to Tashkent for participation at the 9th Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, met with the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia Ms. Ashita Mittal.

During the meeting the sides have expressed satisfaction on the positive development of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNODC and underscored the need to strengthen cooperation in the fight against the challenges related to the illegal drug trafficking. The sides also discussed the issue of technical support of UNODC to the law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan for the effective fight against drug trafficking.
