Participation of Ambassador of Tajikistan at the 2020 Sheep Show Convention

At the invitation of the Wild Sheep Foundation Ambassador Farhod Salim participated in the 2020 Sheep Show Convention, on January 16-18, 2020 in Reno, Nevada. As part of the 2020 Sheep Show Convention two awards were presented for the representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan:

• “International Conservation Statesman Award” to the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatsho Gulmahmadzoda for his professional achievements in the protection of wild sheep in the Republic of Tajikistan;
• “International Wildlife Conservation Ambassador Award” to the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the USA, for the recognition of diplomatic achievements in the development of relations for the protection of wild sheep in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Ambassador accepted the awards and thanked the organizers of the event. It was noted that in Tajikistan, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Mr. Emomali Rahmon 2019-2021 were declared the Years of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts and further cooperation will facilitate the implementation of this initiative.
