Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Chairman of the Executive Committee and Executive Secretary of the CIS

On February 27, 2020 the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Mukhriddin received the Chairman of the Executive Committee and Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev, who arrived in Dushanbe as head of the CIS Observer Mission in the parliamentary elections of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting the sides discussed current state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation within the Commonwealth. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the Plan of the CIS main events for the preparation and celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Foreign Minister thanked Sergey Lebedev for the work done by the CIS Mission and assured him on readiness to assist in providing with the favorable conditions for the work of international observers.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
