Meeting with the President of the 76 session of the UN General Assembly

On September 9, 2021 Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Mr.Jonibek Hikmat met with the President of the 76 session of UN General Assembly, Mr. Abdulla Shahid.

During the meeting, the parties discussed initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon related to water and climate, particularly Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development” and declaration of 2025 as an international year of glaciers preservation and exchanged views on security issues in the region of Central Asia, including current humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
