Meeting of the delegations of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan

On October 7, 2021 a meeting of the delegations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda and the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ravshan Najaf to discuss expansion of economic, trade and investment cooperation. 

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, the Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Umed Solehzoda, representative of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ambassador of  Tajikistan Rustam Soli and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Alimirzamin Gavvam oglu Askerov and heads of Azeri companies spoke about investment opportunities, free economic zones, establishment of joint ventures in respective countries, as well as joint logistics centers in Tajikistan.    

The parties agreed on the need to develop untapped opportunities for cooperation at the level of the public and private sectors of the two countries and noted the effective role of the regular organization of forums of small and medium-sized businesses in the development of this area.
