On January 31, 2022, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mahmoud Кureishi.
During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of relations between the two countries, as well as important regional and international issues. The parties stressed the importance of expanding trade, economic, investment projects, scientific and technical ties between the two countries, strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, revitalization of culture and tourism spheres.
The parties exchanged views on the 48-th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to be held on March 22-23, 2022 in Islamabad.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministers noted the plans and events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will be celebrated on June 6, 2022.
