Celebration of International Navruz at UNESCO

On March 17, 2022, at the UNESCO Headquarter in Paris, at the initiative of the permanent delegations of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, a solemn festive event took place on the occasion of celebration of International Day of Navruz.

Director-General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay took part in the above event and congratulated countries celebrating Navruz with this international holiday.

The Embassy of Tajikistan in France, Permanent Delegation of the country to UNESCO arranged an exposition with national Tajik dishes, promotional materials and photographs of Tajikistan.

The gathering was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions, managing staff and representatives of UNESCO Secretariat, ministries and agencies, scientific and cultural circles of France, as well as Tajik diaspora. A cultural program by masters of arts was presented for the guests of the event.
