The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by the Secretary of the Security Council of the country, Nasrullo Mahmudzoda, took part in the First Central Asia - India Meeting of National Security Advisers/ Secretaries of Security Councils, which in accordance with the decisions of First Central Asia and India Summit, took place on December 5, 2022, in New Delhi.
The head of the delegation of Tajikistan, speaking during the meeting, noted the growing trend of expanding traditional and emerging challenges, including cybercrime, environmental and biological threats. The Secretary of the Security Council of Tajikistan also noted the need to strengthen the protection of the state border with Afghanistan, and jointly combat drug trafficking, terrorism, etc.
The meeting ended with the adoption of the Joint Communique.
On December 5, 2022, on the side-lines of the above-mentioned meeting, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasrullo Mahmudzoda, held a bilateral meeting with Ajit Doval, National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India, during which both sides discussed issues and ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of security.
