On February 3, 2023 the 36th Surajkund International Crafts Mela - 2023 started in the state of Haryana, where the corner of Tajik Folk Arts was organized by the company "Rukhom", the Union of Arts of Tajikistan and other participants from Tajikistan.
Artists from the State Philharmonic ensemble “Chaman", the Tajik National Conservatory and the ensemble "Falak" are taking part in the festival and introducing visitors of the festival with Tajik national dances and songs.
Every day, about one lakh (one hundred thousand) guests are visiting this assembly and getting familiarized with the folk crafts of more than 50 countries and a number of the states of India.
As part of this festival, February 9 was dedicated to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the SCO member, observer and partner countries to India, dignitaries from the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Government of the State of Haryana.
The 36th Surajkund Mela festival will continue till 19 February 2023.
