Political consultations

Starting from December 2016, a mechanism of inter-ministerial political consultations has been established between Tajikistan and France. On 12 January 2021, the fourth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic was held in the format of videoconference. During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and France in the field of politics, trade and economy, environment, health, education, culture, tourism, water and energy as well as combating extremism and terrorism were discussed. A fruitful exchange of views also took place on the issues of fight against COVID-19, modern challenges and threats, strengthening relations in the framework of international organizations and regional cooperation.
