On 17 November 2022, the 18th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union was held in Samarkand.
The ministers of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union discussed the current state of relations and prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two regions in the political, trade-economic and water-energy sectors, as well as in the areas of security, combating terrorism and extremism, climate change and exchanged views on international and regional topics.
Constructive negotiations were also held on the prospects for relations between the countries of Central Asia and the European Union within the framework of cooperation mechanisms and other topics of mutual interest.
