Visit of the Parliamentary Delegation of Tajikistan to the French National Assembly

On May 6, 2026, the parliamentary delegation of the Tajikistan led by the Deputy Chairwoman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Assembly of Representatives) of the Majlisi Oli (Parliament) of Tajikistan, Ms. Mavsuma Muini visited the National Assembly of France.

During the visit, the members of the Parliament of Tajikistan held a meeting with Ms. Tiphaine Cosnier, Head of the Secretariat of the Delegation for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality of the National Assembly.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the activities of parliamentary mechanisms aimed at promoting gender equality, strengthening the role of women in political and public life, and advancing legislative initiatives in this field.

The Tajikistan delegation also held meetings with members of the Senate and the National Assembly of France. During the discussions, the sides addressed issues related to interparliamentary cooperation, regional and international security and the protection of human rights.

As part of the visit, the deputies of the Tajik Parliament attended the one of the sessions of the National Assembly and familiarized themselves with the work and parliamentary rules and traditions of the French legislature.
