The fourth round of political consultations between Tajikistan and France

On 12 January 2021, the fourth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic was held in the format of videoconference. The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by the Acting Head of Department of European and American Countries Mr. Firdavs Usmonov, and the France delegation by Deputy Head of Department for continental Europe Mr. Sylvain Guiaugue.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and France in the field of politics, economics, environment, health, education, culture, tourism, water and energy cooperation as well as combating extremism and terrorism were discussed. A fruitful exchange of views also took place on the issues of fight against COVID-19, modern challenges and threats, strengthening relations in the framework of international organizations and regional cooperation.
