Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Director of the National Museum of Asian Arts of France “Guimet”

On November 12, 2021, in Paris, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Director of the National Museum of Asian Arts of France “Guimet” Ms. Sophie Makariou.

S. Muhriddin thanked the management and responsible team of the “Guimet” Museum for work and collaboration with the museums of Tajikistan to hold the Exhibition of historical items titled “Tajikistan – the land of golden rivers”, in particular for the excellent organization of the official opening ceremony of the exhibition under the patronage and with the participation of the presidents of Tajikistan and France on October 13, 2021.

It should be noted that the exhibition of unique artifacts from the National and Archaeological Museums of Tajikistan, as well as from the British Museum (Amu-Darya Treasure) will last until January 10, 2022. This event contributes to the popularization of the ancient history and rich culture of Tajiks, as well as will help attract more tourists from European countries to Tajikistan.

Taking this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan visited again the Exhibition of historical items of Tajikistan at the “Guimet” Museum.
