On November 27, 2021, a Day dedicated to Tajikistan was held at the National Museum of Asian Arts "Guimet" of Paris in partnership with the French Association of Friends of the East (AFAO), which was attended by representatives of the "Guimet" Museum, scientists and historians, artists and researchers, politicians and civil society of France, as well as Tajik scientific and cultural circles living in Paris and officials of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the French Republic.
During his remarks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the French Republic Jamoliddin Ubaidullo expressed gratitude to the organizers and participants of the event for their interest in our country with its ancient civilization and its enlightened, peace-loving people. In his speech, Ambassador particularly drew the attention of those present to this favorable opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience and impressions among the participants of the event about the ancient history and heritage of the ancestors of Tajiks, their rich arts and culture, about paradise nature and attractive tourist appearance, hospitable nation and great achievements of Tajikistan in various fields over the past 30 years of State independence. He emphasized the gratification over the holding of the Exhibition of historical items of Tajikistan at the "Guimet" Museum (open from October 13, 2021 until January 10, 2022), which was inaugurated on October 13, 2021 with the direct participation of the heads of two states – Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and President of the French Republic His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, and also urged those present to become familiar with the first such a unique and magnificent exhibition of Tajikistan in Europe.
During the meeting, French scientist and foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Professor Francis Richard, Professor of Sinology Emmanuel Lincot, expert on agro-economics Christine Oriol, famous Tajik filmmaker Jamshed Usmonov, experienced travel photographer Ferrante Ferranti and representative of “Novastan” media company Amelia Boyart-Bienenfeld spoke in detail about the achievements and results of their activities, in particular concerning trips along the roads and highways of Tajikistan, acquaintance with cities, villages and charming landscapes of the country, about the history of the Tajik language and the rich heritage of Tajik literature, rural development and tourism, media-coverage of Tajikistan and, in general, Central Asia in the French online edition "Novastan", the geopolitical challenges of the region and the importance of strengthening family relations reflected in thematic films.
During open conversations, the participants of the event highly appreciated the rich Tajik history and culture, achievements of the period of independence, the chosen policy of the country's top leadership in the path to ensuring the beautification, sustainable development and modernization of Tajikistan, reinforcing peace, stability and promoting constructive cooperation in the region.
