Participation of the delegation of Tajikistan in the GCC-Central Asian Investment Forum

On May 29, 2024, the GCC-Central Asian Investment Forum was held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This Forum took place within the framework of the implementation of the “Joint Action Plan for Strategic Dialogue and Cooperation between the GCC States and Central Asia Countries - 2023-2027”, which was adopted during the GCC-Central Asian Summit, on July 19, 2023 in Jeddah, which was attended by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation H.E. Emomali Rahmon.

A high-level delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Sulton Rahimzoda, took part in the investment forum. The delegation of Tajikistan included the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Sherali Kabir, the leadership of the relevant government bodies, as well as heads and representatives of leading private sector companies in Tajikistan.

At the plenary session of the Forum, chaired by the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, the head of the delegation of Tajikistan made a speech and provided detailed information on the investment climate and priority areas of economic development of the country.

The Forum has included panel sessions on the topics: “Infrastructure and Development”, “Renewable and Clean Energy”, “Agriculture and Food Security” and “Mining and Metals”, which attended by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and of Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan A. Nuriddinzoda, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan M. Safarzoda, head of the “Barkh Consulting” Company, Co-Chairman of the Business Council of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia Sh. Samiev and representative of the "TALCO" company T. Nazarov.
