Celebration of Independence Day and 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Tajikistan in Riyadh

On September 24, 2024, in Riyadh, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a festive event was held on the occasion of 33rd anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by high-level representatives of the Saudi Government, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Riyadh, officials, representatives of business communities and media, as well as Tajik compatriots living in Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi in his congratulatory message outlined the achievements of the Independence era, emphasizing that under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan continues to make significant progress towards protecting independence and sovereignty, strengthening the foundations of a democratic and legal state and implementing its priority strategies and goals.

In continuation of the speech, Ambassador touching upon the growing role of Tajikistan in the international arena, has provided information on the country's international initiatives in the areas of water management, combating terrorism and achieving international security and regional integration.

During the event, guests were presented a concert program with the participation of Tajik singers and musicians.

On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition of photographs, books and brochures presenting the tourism potential of Tajikistan was organized.
