Celebration of the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 25th anniversary of the National Unity Day

On June 4, by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Turkey, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of one of the most important fateful events - the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Day of National Unity, was held a meeting with participation Tajik students and citizens living in Turkey.

The meeting began with the sounding of the National Anthem, after the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkey Mr.Ashrafjon Gulov delivered speech. Recognizing the historical significance of this meeting, he noted that this important event brought peace and unity to the Tajiks and laid basis for strengthening the foundations of the Tajik national statehood in the most difficult political conditions.

At the same time, it was noted that the National Unity, achieved by the heroic efforts of the great son of the Tajik nation, His Excellency the Leader of the Nation Mr.Emomali Rahmon, on the basis of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord, gave strength to the Tajik people, laid the foundation for the formation of the political and legal culture of the people, created the necessary conditions for the sustainable development of all spheres of the country's life.

At the event, the audience was shown a memorial plaque dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, books, paintings and a documentary film about the fateful session.
