On August 8, 2022 in Tbilisi was held meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Georgia Rustam Soli with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili.
During the meeting the parties exchanged important issues and bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, water and energy, agriculture, transport, culture and tourism fields, as well as strengthening the legal framework and prospects for bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Georgia.
The parties also emphasized on holding the first meeting of the Tajik-Georgian joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic issues, scheduled this year in Tbilisi. It was emphasized that the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission would open a new page in trade and economic relations between the two countries.
During the meeting the parties discussed issues of developing cooperation in the field of air traffic, in particular, the opening of a direct flight between Tajikistan and Georgia.
