Online meeting for strengthening Interregional cooperation between Tajikistan and Türkiye

On June 7, 2023, by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Türkiye, was held online meeting for discussing the possibilities of strengthening cooperation between the regions of Tajikistan, including the Baljuvan, Dangara and Farkhor districts of the Khatlon region with the regions of Türkiye.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the two countries, including Deputy Chairman of the Khatlon region Mr.Faizullozoda Zarobiddin, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ankara Mr.Gulov Ashrafjon, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Dushanbe Mr.Umut Acar, high levels of the Baljuvan, Dangara and Farkhor districts of the Khatlon region, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Khatlon region, the Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), as well as officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Executive body of the State Power of the Khatlon Region and the Business Council of Tajikistan and Türkiye (DEIK).

During the speeches, it was emphasized that today there are wide range of opportunities for strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Türkiye at all levels, including the regional, and special attention should be paid to significant efforts for planning joint actions of the relevant structures of the two countries for the further development of trade and economic cooperation at this level.
