Celebration of the 32nd anniversary of independency of Tajikistan in Turkiye

On September 12th, by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Turkiye, the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was celebrated at the Sheraton Hotel in Ankara.

More than 400 guests including the Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkiye Mr. Osman Aşkin Bak, ambassadors, heads of international and regional organizations, diplomats, rectors of universities of Ankara, intellectuals, compatriots abroad and representatives of the medias of Tajikistan and Turkey participated at the event.

Within the event, guests were offered to observe the exhibition of photos and paintings of the beautiful nature of Tajikistan, enjoy the fresh and dried fruits, sweets and to get acquainted with tourism opportunities of Tajikistan.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Turkiye Mr. Ashrafjon Gulov, opened the celebration, and briefed the guests about the state independence of Tajikistan and the bilateral relations of Tajikistan and Turkiye and congratulated the compatriots abroad on this occasion.

In particular Ambassador Gulov noted that, «The independence of the Tajik state under the guidance of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon created a turning point and our people took the future fate of their state and nation into their hands thanks to this life-giving phenomenon».

Osman Ashkin, on behalf of the Government of Turkiye, congratulated the people of Tajikistan on the 32nd anniversary of Independence, adding that during this period the relations between the two friendly countries have developed in all directions and will continue to be positive in the future.

It is worth mentioning that the songs of the "Avesto" group delighted the guests and introduced them to the Tajik culture.

It should be noted that this event helped to present the history, culture, nature and tourism opportunities of Tajikistan in the country of residence.
