Football tournament in Tehran

On May 30, 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan organized a sports event (small football tournament) dedicated to Youth Day and declaring May 25 as World Football Day with the participation of the Embassy stuff and Tajik compatriots resided in Tehran.

At the opening ceremony, the Ambassador sincerely congratulated the participants of the football tournament on the occasion of Youth Day and World Football Day, recalled the support and care of the Founder of National Peace and Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, towards the youth, and expressed that the effective implementation of the state youth policy is at the center of activity of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was revealed that with the contribution of the President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, Mr. Rustam Emomali, May 25 was accepted by the world as World Football Day and took on an international character. Also, it was noted that playing football is one of the best ways to improve health and promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as the most important means of uniting different peoples and nations.
