Meeting of the Ambassador at the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran

On August 30, 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in Tehran Nizomiddin Zohidi met with the Advisor, Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran for International Affairs Abolfazl Amui.

During the meeting it was emphasized that the parliaments of the two countries play an effective role in developing bilateral relations and creating a legal and contractual basis for bilateral relations.

In this regard, the important role of the official visit of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Rustami Emomali to Iran on January 8-9, 2024 and the visit of the Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf to Tajikistan on October 9-10, 2024 in expanding inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries was emphasized.

In order to continue the constructive inter-parliamentary dialogue between Tajikistan and Iran, Abulfazli Amui handed to the Ambassador of Tajikistan an invitation from the Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Mohammad Boqir Qalibaf for the official visit of the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan F.Idizoda to Iran.

The sides also expressed their views on the contribution of inter-parliamentary friendship groups to relations between the parliaments of the two countries and considered the exchange of visits by these groups to be beneficial to relations between Tajikistan and Iran.
