The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On 18 February 2026, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda, met with the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Mohammad Atabak, who is in Tajikistan on a working visit.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries in areas of mutual interest.

The sides expressed satisfaction that bilateral trade turnover reached 483 million US dollars in 2025, representing a 28 percent increase compared to 2024.

This indicator was noted as evidence of the growing interest of the business communities of both countries in the available opportunities.

The meeting also placed special emphasis on expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, processing industries, mining, chemicals, construction materials production, agriculture, and the establishment of joint ventures.
