Meeting of the Cultural Institute of Economic Cooperation Organization

On October 30, 2019, at the Headquarters of the Economic Cooperation Organization's Cultural Institute in Tehran, the 30th meeting of the Permanent Representatives Council of the member states of  ECI, chaired by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), H.E. Mr. N. Zohidi, Ambassadors and Representatives of member states were held.

At the meeting were discussed about  the issue of appointing a new head of the Eco Cultural Institute. According to the Regulation of the Institute, the Council of Permanent Representatives of the Member States has decided that Tajikistan will be chaired by the Institute for a three-year term beginning in November 2019. The proposal was proposed for approval by the ECO Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which will be held November 8-9 in Antalya, Turkey.

The meeting also discussed other issues of the Institution's activity and its budget and adopted relevant approvals.
