On December 5 this year, the 10th meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the Regional Center for Urban Water Management was held in Tehran.
Mentioned center established in 2002 under the auspices of UNESCO, it is run by the Board of Supervisors and the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan is a member of the Council.
At the meeting, delegates spoke about their country's achievements in urban water management, including drinking water and wastewater, and then discussed future plans for regional center activity.
In his speech, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Osmanali Osmonzoda, emphasized the international initiatives of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon in the water sector and their role in achieving sustainable development, holding the meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the Regional Center for Urban Water Management in June 2020 in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the International Conference on the occasion of the International Decade of Operation "Water for Sustainable Development", 2018-2028. The offer was warmly accepted by the participants.
