Introducing the new President of Eco Cultural Institute in Tehran

On December 30, 2019, in Tehran, a ceremony was held to introduce the new President of the Cultural Institute of Economic Cooperation (ECO), the Tajik representative, Mr. Sarvarr Bakhti.

During the ceremony, ECO Secretary General Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gholamreza Ansari, President of the National Library and Documentation Organization of Iran, and Vice President of the country, Ms. Ashraf Boroujerdi, Deputy Head of the Islamic Culture and Communications Organization, Mr. Ghorbanali Pourmarjan, Ambassador of  Tajikistan in Iran Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidi, Ambassador of Afghanistan, Mr. Abdul Ghafur Liwal, Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Darya Ors and other Iranian cultural officials lectured, emphasized the status of the ECO Cultural Institute in strengthening cultural cooperation between ECO member countries, and wished the new president of the Institute success in advancing the activities of this important regional institution.

Sarvar BAkhti, the new President of the ECO Cultural Institute, in his speech emphasized that during the three-year term of Tajikistan's presidency, he will use all his efforts to develop and grow the institute. For example, he outlined his plans for the course, which pursues the goal of strengthening cultural cooperation between ECO member states.
