On October 13, 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan, Mirzosharif Jalolov, participated in the Individual Group Session of the Toyo SDG’s Green Forum dedicated to the Project for Development of Decarbonized Heat Energy Supply System Using Ground Heat Source which is being implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan, and made an opening speech.
In his speech, the Ambassador spoke about the Government of Tajikistan’s policies towards achieving the SDGs, development of science and technology, industrialization of the country and international initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan. He also introduced the participants with the history of initiation of the project, which originates from the visit of the Ambassador to Akita University in 2019. It is worth mentioning that the Project for Development of Decarbonized Heat Energy Supply System Using Ground Heat Source is the first in Central Asia and is unique in the global scale in terms of the scope of coverage of various scientific, technological and socio-economic fields. The project is financed within the framework of the SATREPS Program by the Government of Japan, and more than 50 scientists and experts from 6 universities and research centers of Tajikistan and Japan are involved in its implementation.
