Bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 68th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency

From 16 to 20 September 2024, on the sidelines of the 68th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, joint meetings of the Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Aziz Nazar and Director of Chemical, Biological, Radiological Nuclear Security and Safety Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Ilhom Mirsaidzoda with representatives of the relevant IAEA departments, including the Safety Department, the Technical Cooperation Department and the Radiation, Transport and Waste Safety Department.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of current joint projects, as well as new national projects in various areas within the framework of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Program for 2026-2027, including in the field of control and remediation of radioactive waste, strengthening the technical and experimental potential of responsible institutions to ensure coordination in the subsequent period as well as other topics of mutual interest.
