Meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan

On May 4, 2021, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Afghanistan Sadi Sharifi met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Muhammad Hanif Atmar, during which they exchanged views on the wide range of cooperation and prospects of bilateral relations between the two friendly and neighboring countries.

M. Atmar expressed gratitude for the organization of the Ninth Ministerial Conference of "Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process" in Dushanbe (29-30 March 2021) and called the trilateral meeting of Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran during the conference very timely and useful.

The two sides discussed political, economic and energy cooperation between the two countries, as well as the effective use of annual Tajik scholarships for Afghanistan students.
